Where Has the Year Gone?

Hello World!  Guess what I have?  The Dedicated Daughter has decided to share her stomach virus with me.  So, I'm laid up on the couch watching Wimbeldon and my Mom is over to basically keep me and the daughter fed.  Well, at least the daughter.  I'm not eating much.  Anyhoo, I digress.  While being still and watching Wimbeldon, I suddenly realized my blog is over a year old.  Seriously, how did that just slip by unnoticed?  She was a year old on June 23rd.  So, why don't we take a look back over all of the projects that I have finished.

The first project was the little Goodwill pedestal table I bought for $2.99.  It was my first time to use Annie Sloan chalk paint and dark wax.

Next up is The Dedicated Daughter's big girl room.  And, yes, those are painted stripes, not wallpaper.

Then, I painted my kitchen walls and cabinets.

Next up I tackled another Goodwill table that cost me $12.50.
It was another chance to use more Annie Sloan chalk paint.  To see this lovely little table, click here.

The dining room then got a new coat of paint.

For one of the dining room walls, I made over this mirror that I picked up at Goodwill for $6.50.

Keeping with the Goodwill theme, I prettied up some finds that I secured on one of my shopping trips to the famous thrift store.

Next, the voice studio got a paint job as well as a gallery wall.

This gallery wall took me forever to do.  Especially since the cats thought when I laid out the pictures on the floor it was for them to lay on.  Click here to see the voice studio and the gallery wall.

Then a couple more Goodwill finds.

Okay, I sure did a lot of Goodwill shopping.  Picked these little lovelies up and then got busy painting.

I really spent a lot of time in Goodwill.  Here's yet another find that got a fresh coat of paint.
The little mirror is hanging next to the backdoor.  It's nice to be able to do a quick appearance check before heading out the door.  Click here.

The candle holders in the voice studio got a couple of coats of paint.
Ah, white paint.  Love it.  Go here to see more of the makeover.

The Family Room got a new coat of paint.  This required the help of The Dedicated Husband due to the high ceilings.
See what I mean.  Click here to see the paint job up to the heavens.

Here's proof that I do shop other places than Goodwill.  May I introduce "Martina" the console.

I designed an entertainment center and had it built.

Finally made a valance and panels for the dining room.

The garden even got a sprucing up as well as the swing.

The voice studio got some new flooring.

I'm so glad I did this post, because sometimes I look around my house and only see how much work needs to be done.  It's nice to know I've actually gotten quite a bit done.  Whew.

I want to welcome all of the new followers here at The Dedicated House.  Hopefully, you will like what you see and will want to stick around.  Thanks everyone for the visit.  Have a wonderful day and remember to be kind to one another.

Also, the Make it Pretty Monday party is still going on.  There have been a lot of great link ups so far. To join the Make it Pretty Monday party, go here.
