Do You Have an Axe to Grind?

Hello World!  I do hope all on the east coast are faring well through the storm.  Tropical storms and hurricanes are definitely no fun.

Today I had the opportunity to review another website that completely opened my eyes.  It's definitely not our typical home decor or do-it-yourself website.  The website I'm referring to is www.Mile-X.com.

Mile-X Equipment, Inc. is a distributor of automotive/bus/truck tools and equipment including:  lifts, floor jacks, tire changers, wheel balancers, filter crushers, air compressors and more.  Mile-X has focused on providing prompt customer service at reasonable prices since 1979.

Now before you decide there is nothing on this website for you, let me tell you what I found.  While snooping around I found that they carry things other than lifts, floor jacks and such.  One of the things on my wish list is a pressure washer.  I know, I'm a strange girl.  We have this super long driveway that I would love to take a pressure washer to in order to make it nice and clean.  Well, guess what they carry?  You got it, pressure washers.

Now, my husband has a ton of tools on his wish list.  Several of the tools that are on his wish list are made by Baldor which of course we could get at Mile-X Equipment.

So, if you have some major tools or equipment you are looking for Mile-X Equipment could be the website for you.

That's it for today.  I've got a couple of projects in the works and some recipes that I'm hoping to share with you this week.  If you are looking for Make it Pretty Monday party click here to join the party.

Wishing all a grand week and remember to be kind to one another.

Toodles,
Kathryn

Let Me Count The Ways

Hello World!  I'm going to let you in on a little secret.  I love poetry.  I have since high school.  Let me share one of my favorites with you by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Isn't it beautiful?  Are you a poet?  Do you love to write?  Have you ever thought of submitting your work?  If so, then maybe a poetry contest would be the way to go.  The World Poetry Movement is holding a poetry contest with 116 prizes totaling over $10,000.  Here’s your chance to share a message from your heart. Your poem can be on any subject, in any style. Winning poems will also be considered for publication.  Head on over to http://www.poetrycontest.com/ to submit your work.

So, put pen to paper...or rather, fingers to keyboard and let your creative juices flow.
Thank you for the visit today.  Make it Pretty Monday is still live.  Click here to go straight to the party.  Wishing all a beautiful evening and remember to be kind to one another.

Toodles,
Kathryn
