Hello World! Welcome Friends! This girl has finished all of the Christmas shopping! Can I get an “Amen”! Now, I just need to wrap. I’m just about ready to give the house a good cleaning, do some baking and relax with friends and family. But, for now, let’s take a little tour. The first room that everyone sees is of course the Foyer. Our foyer is not a large one, so I’ve tried to be careful about not cluttering the space with decor. The main feature is our banister. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my garland video. No worries, here’s the link if you want to check out the process.
Upon entry, you are greeted with the Bourdonnais Bookcase from Ballard Designs. You can see all of the details on the bookcase purchase here.
To the right is the staircase and the dining room. Here you get a glimpse of the dining room decor. Stop back by on Friday to see the dining room Christmas decor.
This may be the last year that I do the ornament garland. I’m wanting to go with a cleaner more simplified look. We’ll see. Little Dedicated really loves the glitzy garland; and she usually wins out!
I build it up with ornaments at the top here and then let it cascade down. The foyer Christmas colors are blue, silver, gold with touches of red. However, there is no red on the banister.
After the garland is full of ornaments, I wrap it with gold ribbon. Hobby Lobby has been my go to place lately for ribbon.
On the top shelf I’ve added the pieces I picked up from Home Goods towards the end of the Summer.
The next shelf is dedicated to gold. I’m still crushing on the vase my Mom gave me in the process of cleaning out her house. The vase is at home on my stack of wrapped books. You can see my post all about wrapped posts here. A simple glass vase is filled with gold beads and gold ornaments. Can you spot our elf in the background sitting on the blue chest?
The bucket is filled with gold ornaments and faux pretties.
Some fun reflection pictures.
The coat closet got a simple wreath that I picked up years ago at Walmart.
Here’s the dining room side of the ornament garland.
The blue chest across the room (that is in need of a desperate makeover) got her lantern decorated with some faux greenery and gold ornaments.
