Hello World! Welcome Friends! You didn’t think I could use the Chinoiserie stencil just once, did you? I spent time wandering around my house with stencil in hand trying it out in different little places. I landed on the art niche that is just outside of the Master Bedroom. Wisdom would dictate that I finish painting the laundry room and paint the back hallway, but no, I just have to use that stencil again!
If you missed the One Room Challenge Breakfast Nook Reveal, let me give you a little refresher.

My sister also has a Partners in Building house and has a similar art niche just outside of her Master Bedroom. I think her niche is a little larger. She does after all have a big, mac daddy house…meaning her house is bigger than mine.
The stencil from Cutting Edge is very easy to work with. I’m sure if I just used one color it would be so much easier. But, I’ve never been know to take the easy route. I used the same color palette in the art niche as I did in the breakfast nook. It really brought some interest to a little space that otherwise you wouldn’t notice. It’s all in the details, isn’t it?
I’m also debating about whether on not to paint the light fixture or change it completely. I’m not sure if I like the glass globe. If paint is the direction I go, it will be a metallic gold. I’ll keep you posted on what I decide.
This little guy is going to be getting a makeover as well and just might find his home here in the niche. We call him, Chang!
